In an age flooded with information, facts are no longer guaranteed to lead us to truth.
What is inconvenient is buried, what is
distorted is amplified, and falsehoods are dressed up as reality.
This poem confronts the peril of living
in a “world of illusion,” where
truth is manipulated, justice is inverted, and human dignity quietly withers—not
only on battlefields, but within everyday life shaped by information warfare.
Living in a World of Illusion
Are facts truly the truth?
Facts are concealed, and truth is locked
away in a world of illusion.
Facts are distorted, and truth wanders lost
through that illusory realm.
Facts are slandered as lies, and truth
decays within the world of illusion.
Truth is lured into the realm of falsehood.
Facts are buried by the hands of those for
whom they are inconvenient.
Facts cloak themselves in lies, cleverly
masquerading as truth.
Facts are inverted and substituted—only
then to be proclaimed as truth.
Justice is toyed with by injustice.
Wrongdoing is permitted without ever being
corrected.
Integrity is looked down upon by arrogance.
Reason is swept away by absurdity.
Distrust spreads, and the world becomes a
waking nightmare.
Those who dwell in this world of illusion
grow faint in their desire to live,
seek no path to sustain life,
know nothing of the joy of being alive.
Each waits alone for death,
their soul already vanished into the void.
Note:
This poem reflects the danger of living in
an information society where facts are suppressed and illusion is transformed
into truth—a reality condensed in the phenomenon of information warfare. It is
a stark reminder that such battles are not confined to war zones, but unfold
all around us.
