 Restart

A difficult hospital transfer.

Sufferings beyond words.

Mountains of hardship endured.

An unyielding spirit

that refuses defeat.

An extraordinary vitality.

Two souls

who keep the Grim Reaper at bay.

The devotion of a husband and wife,

strengthened by age.

Though illness consumes the body,

their perseverance continues.

In Sapporo, far from familiar ties,

they endure together.

The wife's sobs,

unable to bear the thought of separation.

Tears fall

from emotions that cannot be contained.

Together they retie

the threads of fate.

Together they prove

that true bonds are not easily severed.

Together they leave behind

a supreme expression of love

in this earthly life.

For a year

they have fought with quiet resilience.

Together they have writhed in pain

and endured suffering.

Unable to flee,

they faced reality head-on.

Together they prayed

for nothing more than recovery.

Repeated setbacks

broke their hearts again and again.

Confronted by one medical barrier after another,

they were forced

into difficult decisions.

Within the vast space-time of the universe,

they wage a desperate battle for life itself,

risking everything

for the precious gift of another day.
